Soulja Boy Is Selling A New Console… And It’s A PS Vita Knockoff

By Austin Wilson | @TheAustinPost1

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

Soulja Boy is starting off 2019 by selling a new
Chinese knockoff emulator. Except this time, it
looks like the PlayStation Vita.

The new SouljaGame Handheld is available on
SouljaWatch for $100.

Soulja Boy is using the same sales strategy he
tried with the original SouljaGame products by
claiming that the SouljaGame Handheld is on
sale for 50% off, but the product has never
actually been sold for the $200 price tag.

In December of 2018, Soulja Boy attempted to
sell emulators with roms of Nintendo games,
only to take them off after Nintendo threatened
the former rapper with a lawsuit.

Features of the Souljagame Handheld include a
built-in camera, tv output for games and movies,
480 x 272 resolution, and the ability to
“watch e-books.”

There are no listings for games available on the
SouljaGame Handheld but it's assumed that it
comes pre-installed with (probably illegal) roms.

Given it's resemblance with the PlayStation Vita
and the possibility of containing Sony titles, it's
likely that Sony will launch an investigation and
force Soulja Boy to remove the console from his
online store like Nintendo did a month ago.

Surprisingly, the SouljaGame Handheld is currently
sold out on his online store, but you can buy the
exact same item on AliExpress for $33.59 without
the Soulja Boy brand.

Update (01/17/19)
The SouljaWatch online store is currently down. Clicking
on the link in this story will send you to a page that says
“This shop is unavailable.”

Soulja Boy claims his website was hacked by
his ex-cameraman and is asking his fans to contact Shopify
to help restore his site.
